Toilets and health go hand in hand

” It is reported that every year more children die from diarrhoea related disease than from HIV, malaria and tuberculosis combined. This situation could be solved simply by providing improved water, sanitation and hygiene facilities.”1

Something we take for granted

Often times we may grumble if there is a queue to a toilet, or if the previous occupant has left it in less than ideal condition. Consider not having access to toilets at all, no running water, no cublicle, just a field. This is the reality for many in third world countries. Please read the Toilets for Health pdf attached, it demonstrates the huge effect having toilets can have on public health and survival in many ways.
